Why diabetic feet need extra care

Diabetes can reduce blood flow and nerve sensation in the feet. That means a blister, cut, corn or ingrown nail may not be felt, and may heal slowly.

Regular professional checks help catch small problems before they become serious. Because our treatments use no foot bath and follow strict sterilisation, they're designed to keep diabetic clients safe.

Check your feet every day for

  • Cuts, blisters or sores that are slow to heal
  • Redness, warmth or swelling
  • Numbness, tingling or burning
  • Changes in skin colour or temperature
  • Thickened nails or nails digging into skin
  • Hard skin building up on pressure points

Urgent signs: a wound that won't heal, spreading redness, sudden swelling or colour change, or a foot that feels hot or very painful needs your doctor's attention right away.
